Salma Hayek has been making waves during this fashion month, attending shows in Milan and now landing in Paris alongside her husband, François-Henri Pinault. Their first stop in Paris was to preview Seán McGirr’s debut Alexander McQueen collection as the new creative director. Salma shared behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, showing off her stunning outfit which included a metallic sequin bustier, a black blazer, matching trousers, and a black leather hat accessorized with Jessica McCormack jewelry. Fans flooded the comments section with compliments, calling her “next level” and “amazing queen.”
François-Henri Pinault is the CEO of the luxury conglomerate Kering, which owns Alexander McQueen along with other prestigious brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga. The conglomerate was founded by François-Henri’s father, François Pinault, in 1963. In addition to Kering, Pinault is also the CEO of Groupe Artémis and recently acquired a majority stake in Creative Artists Agency. Sén McGirr’s debut as the creative director of Alexander McQueen follows the departure of Sarah Burton, who took over after the brand’s founder tragically passed away in 2010.
Sén McGirr, a graduate of Central Saint Martins in London, has an impressive resume with experience at Dries Van Noten, Burberry, and Uniqlo. He was most recently the head of menswear for JW Anderson before taking on the role of creative director at Alexander McQueen. His debut collection is highly anticipated, as fans are eager to see his fresh perspective on the iconic brand.
