Review of Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50

Review of Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50

As someone who has been dealing with rosacea since my teenage years, I am always on the lookout for products that can effectively cover redness and minimize the appearance of enlarged pores. After experimenting with various foundation brands over the past decade, I have settled on a particular foundation and concealer combination. However, I am always open to trying new products that specifically target redness-prone skin. This led me to test out Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50, particularly as we approach Rosacea Awareness Month this April.

Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula claims to offer instant concealing through micro-encapsulated technology and includes redness-reducing ingredients such as α-Bisabolol, Zeolite, Provitamin B5, Urea, and Shea Butter. Priced at £29.99 standalone or £44.99 with the added brush, the product promises a 3-in-1 solution: instant concealing, gentle treatment, and long-term protection. It can be used as a tinted moisturizer, color-correcting concealer, or makeup primer, providing 30ml of product along with a soft blending brush for easy application.

The product comes in a squeezy tube housed inside a box with the Rosalique branding and a product description. While the tube allows for easy access to the entire product, I find it challenging to gauge the appropriate amount to use compared to a pump bottle. The green color of the product upon squeezing it out plays into the theory that green tones counteract redness, but I have reservations about its adaptability to various skin tones.

Upon dispensing the product onto my skin, I noticed that it did not adjust to my skin tone as expected but instead veered towards a warmer, orange-ish shade. As someone with fair skin, I prefer foundations with a light, neutral undertone, which was not achieved with this product. Additionally, I found the formula to be slightly patchy during application and failed to provide sufficient coverage for my redness. The SPF 50 feature is commendable for a multi-purpose product, but the slightly tacky texture reminiscent of sunscreen was not ideal for my oily skin type.

I have mixed feelings about Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50. While I appreciate the focus on catering to individuals with rosacea, I believe the product could benefit from offering a range of shades to better match different skin tones. The high SPF content is a positive aspect, but the texture and adaptability issues detracted from my overall satisfaction. Despite these drawbacks, I found the accompanying blending brush to be a highlight and will continue to use it with my preferred foundation for now.
