In addition to meeting up with old friends and making new connections, Denise also took the time to bond with her future in-laws. Her son, Matty Healy of the 1975, recently got engaged to model Gabbriette Bechtel. Denise met with Gabbriette’s parents during her trip to America and expressed her joy at welcoming Gabbriette into the family. She took to Instagram to share her excitement, calling Gabbriette a wonderful daughter-in-law to be. Denise is clearly thrilled to see Matty happy and settled, especially after a challenging year following his high-profile breakup with singer Taylor Swift.
Despite initially being supportive of Matty’s relationship with Taylor Swift, Denise’s opinion of the singer quickly changed when Taylor released an album with tracks believed to be about Matty. During an episode of Loose Women, Denise made it clear that she was not aware of Taylor’s album and wished her all the best.
