The phrase was spoken by the character Johnny in the musical, advising Ponyboy to always remain true to himself.
The actress, at 48, displayed the newly inked quote on her inner arm, still in the healing process. This latest tattoo adds to her vast collection, which includes a quote from a Rudyard Kipling poem. Notably, Justin Levine, co-book writer and score creator of the musical, also revealed his matching “Stay Gold” tattoo on his Instagram Story.
Angelina Jolie graced the event in a shimmering metallic gown from Chloé’s collaboration with her Atelier Jolie fashion line, emphasizing the golden theme. Completing her look with large statement earrings and a tan cape, the “Maleficent” star exuded elegance on the red carpet.
Accompanying Jolie was her daughter Vivienne, who sported a casual look in a blue boilersuit and sneakers. Jolie joked that Vivienne appeared to align more with Justin Levine’s creative team than hers.
